I am PhD candidate in computer science at the University of Colorado - Boulder where I am advised by Rebecca Morrison. I also spend time as a visiting student researcher at the National Center for Atmospheric Research where my mentor is Allison Baker. I did my undergraduate degree in physics at Colorado College as a Boettcher Scholar where I was advised by Shane Burns.
My research primarily concerns calibration, verification and uncertainty quantification of expensive, chaotic computer models like those used for weather and climate prediction. Broadly, I am interested in how we combine knowledge in the form of physical laws or domain expertise with observations to make reliable and practical computer models.
I am passionate about service in the scientific community and participate in mentoring and service programs from the high school to graduate level.
